We both are so happy we met Mike and Maureen on our honeymoon in Mexico. We spent time with them both laying in the sun, eating out for dinner to playing games at the hotel.
Mike was always happy! I remeber his dark tan and his need to chat through poker :) Such a funny guy!
We always met Mike at the beach to lay in the sun. I spoke with Mike many times about his family and how proud he was of each one of his children.

Mike and Maureen were a couple with drive, love, smiles and most of all FUN!
We are shocked at the news and we are so very sorry for your loss.
You are all in our prayers at this sad time.

Just remember Mike will be forever holding you.

Maureen, we just heard today about Mike''s passing. We are very sorry for your sudden loss.
Mike (and yourself) brought a very special spirit and energy to Kinsol. He was always talking about his kids and how proud he was of each of them: what they studied, what they accomplished and the very different life styles they chose to have. He was also very much looking forward to his daughter picking him up at the airport, and having the opportunity to spend some quality time with her.
We had also some long talks about the time he spent as a community Director in Saint Cloud; how he loved the challenges of the position and how hard this was on his family life.
The month that we spend with Mike, we very much enjoyed every day with him; he was a sweet person with a big heart, always with a smile and a nice word to whoever is around. Every day he tried to learn at least one word in Spanish, and he never could remember the word on the next day: this was the Mike that we came to know for one month...
We do feel his loss 8,000 miles away.
Our prayers go to you and all your family.

Maureen, today I heard the news of Mike's passing.  I am so sorry for your loss.  It has been many, many years since I worked with Mike when he was here at MVAC (and you too for that matter).  I pulled out a photo of the housing staff taken probably around 1981 that has both of you in it.  I remember Mike as having a special zest for life. My thoughts are with you and your family.  Nancy Haag

I am so very sorry to hear about the loss you and your family have suffered Maureen. After I received the news I took a long walk on the beach here in Puerto Morelos looked out into the ocean and said a prayer for your husband and than for you and your family. Once again so deeply sorry!

I count my times with Mike on my fingers--we met seldom, and so often the family stuff took over--but I loved our conversations, about life and music, about just "stuff."  You were a sweet and congenial man, and you will be sorely missed.

I clearly remember driving up to Lake Mary for your wedding. When we arrived Mike and John Moriarty got out of the boat and Mike displayed a large walleye he had caught. Mike's face was beaming. It was an omen of the bounty that was to be...a blessing for the love that he and Mo would share. I am sorry for your loss and wish you peace. Love...
