Our service does not end simply because the funeral or memorial service is over. At Dingmann Funeral Care, we provide a number of resources as part of our Aftercare Program. Our Aftercare program includes:
We meet with all widows and widowers one to four weeks after the service to answer any questions and assist with anything we can, such as life insurance, social security or veterans benefits.
We are proud financial supporters and volunteers to Healing Hearts Connection. This is a free camp for school aged children and their care givers. It assists children through their grief and empowers caregivers with the knowledge of how they can help.
We send out a helpful book series titled “The Reality of Grief” to all widows and widowers, or to any family member that requests it. This is a quarterly series that includes a total of four books by grief specialist, Doug Manning.
Before the holiday season, we send out “Grief and the Holidays”, a helpful guide to help families through the first holiday season without their loved one.
During the holiday season, we hold a Holiday Remembrance Program. This program provides a time of reflection and remembrance during what is often a difficult time of year.
We subscribe to an online grief resource for all families that we serve. This service provides resources to all families, no matter where or when they are looking for the resources.
We also can assist families in connecting with support groups and counseling.
We now offer E-Aftercare through our Stepping Stones program. Anyone can sign up for this program by clicking below or by contacting us by phone. After signing up, you will receive a welcome email in 1-2 weeks, followed by newsletter every month that will walk with you through the journey of grief for the next year.
A representative of the funeral home follows through with families that we serve by text message for a year following the service. This provides an easy way for families to ask questions and find resources after services are over.
For those that prefer not to receive follow-up communications from the funeral home, we provide easy ways to opt-out of any portion of our aftercare services.
