Melvin was in my grade when we both attended Camp Lake elementary school. We always competed when we were at the blackboard doing math problems. My parents, Rudoph and Hattie Treichler, owned a farm just catty-corner from the Schmidt farm.
Now that I have introduced myself, I wish to offer my condolences to Glenice (who was also a student at Camp Lake, but a few grades below us.

Glenice and Family;
I have many fond memories of working with Melvin and Dave over the years putting on Pioneer Winter agronomy meetings, summer plot tours, weigh wagon activities, Pioneer Days, etc. We thank Melvin and your family for all the dedicated years of service you represented Pioneer Hi-bred in the Annandale area.
You have our deepest sympathies in your loss.
Blessed be Melvin's soul as he is now in God's kingdom.
