Mary Florence (Kolles) Aiken

January 16, 1950 ~ December 7, 2016 (age 66) 66 Years Old

Mary F. Aiken, age 66, of Maple Lake, died unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, December 7, 2016.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday December 13, 2016 at St. Albert Catholic Church in Albertville with Fr. Peter Richards as the Celebrant. Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Monday and 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, both at the church. Parish Prayers will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday at the church.

Mary embodied joy, love and laughter and shared her kindness with family, friends and strangers alike. Her warmth and smile will be missed by many, but mostly by Laun, her loving and dedicated husband of 43 years.

Mary was born on January 16, 1950 in Albertville, Minn. to Lawrence and Lucille (Heuring) Kolles and raised with her seven siblings on the family farm. Mary’s engaging personality, ready laugh and warm smile endeared her to family and friends; it was these qualities that captured Laun’s heart so many years ago.

Mary and Laun started their family immediately, welcoming daughter Chrissy and son John to join Laun’s daughter Michelle in the couple’s first two years of marriage. Amanda, Andrew and Matthew followed. Mary’s children, and eventually her grandbabies, were the center of her life. She was so proud of all of them, as her readily flowing tears of joy and pride often showed. Her unconditional love and unwavering support will be greatly missed.

Mary enjoyed family vacations, holiday gatherings, regular get-togethers with lifelong friends and road trips with Laun. Mary’s energy and spark brought so much laughter and fun to all of these adventures.

Mary is survived by her husband Laun of Maple Lake; children Michelle (Kevin) Bollman of Stacy, Christine (Mark) Huschka of Monticello, John Aiken (Kristen Spargo) of Plymouth, Amanda Aiken of Maple Grove, Andrew (Rebecca) Aiken of Zimmerman and Matthew Aiken of Littleton, CO; ten grandchildren Paige, Alyssa, Madelyn, Olivia, Tanner, Dean, Harrison, Carley, William and Everett; siblings Joann Jeziorski of Spring Lake Park, Wayne (Mary Lou) Kolles of Albertville, Larry (Darlene) Kolles of Monticello, Steve (Diane) Kolles of Albertville and Karla (David) Sherman of Las Vegas, NV. She is preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Lucille Kolles; sister Yvonne Illies; and brother Keith Kolles; and brother-in-law Raymond Jeziorski.

Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
