In my eyes, Walter was a treasure. We shared eating at a table together at Park View for two weeks while I was doing rehab from hip surgery in July, 2012. After I was released from the nursing home, I would visit him bringing chocolate chip cookies for him which always brought a smile to his face. I am sure that he did not remember my name, but I always got a smile and a thank you for the cookies. We were both farmers so we reminisced about what farming was like and we also talked about our other partner at our table who would order two complete servings for each meal and would eat it all. I will miss our visits and him. Lovingly, Darlene
