I was so sorry to see in the Messenger that Roger has died. It was four years ago at a class reunion that I was able to sit and visit with him for a while. It was great to catch up on what he was doing and to hear all about you kids. He was a true gentle man and his contribution to the school and city will not be forgotten. You all have my deepest sympathy in your loss.

I want to pass on my condolences to all of the Riesgraf family. Roger was a great person. I learned a lot from him growing up. In particular he instilled a love for sports in many of us from the neighborhood. I think we played or tried nearly every sport and he not only taught us how to play but how to have fun and lose gracefully and be a good sport about it. He was a man of few words but those he spoke were well worth listening to and taking to heart.
