    Margaret H. Kolb, age 100, of Elk River, formerly of Apache Junction, AZ, died Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Guardian Angels Care Center in Elk River.

    Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Maple Lake, with Fr. John Meyer as the Celebrant. Visitation will be from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. Burial will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, assembly area 2.

    Margaret Hazel Kolb was born October 29, 1916 in New Ulm to Herman and Clara (Schmitz) Battig. She grew up in New Ulm and North Minneapolis. On August 25, 1943, she was united in marriage to Charles Joseph Kolb at the Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis. Margaret attended beauty school and worked as a beautician until they started a family in Minneapolis. She was a member of St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Rogers, St. George’s Catholic Church in Apache Junction, and most recently of St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake. Margaret enjoyed sewing, crafting, cross stitching and playing cards.  She cherished the time she spent with her friends and family.

    Margaret is survived by her children Margaret Kreger of Monticello, Joseph (Jenny) Kolb of Las Vegas, Robert (Mary) Kolb of Buffalo, Paul (JoAnn) Kolb of St. Michael, Richard (Debra) Kolb of Big Lake, Patrick (Donna) Kolb of Milaca and Sandy (James) Wilken of Milaca; 24 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles; grandson James Kolb; son-in-law James Kreger; daughter-in-law Kathy Kolb; brother Harold Battig; and sister Alice Johnson.

    The urn bearers will be Joseph, Paul, Patrick and Richard Kolb. The Gift Bearers will be Robert Kolb, Margaret Kreger and Sandy Wilken. The Lectors will be Rachel Shields and Mary Kolb. St. Timothy Resurrection Choir will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
