Lawrence H. Alberg, age 74, of Annandale, died Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, Minnesota with his loving family at his side.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2015 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church with Fr. George Kallumkalkudy and Deacon Ron Freeman as the officiants. Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 23 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale.

Lawrence H. Alberg was born April 9, 1941 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Edwin and Lila (Mabus) Alberg. Larry grew up in the South Haven area where he attended school until the 8th grade. He then attended Annandale High School, where he graduated with the Class of 1960. Larry worked a short time with his brother-in-law, Russell Yonak, before being drafted by the United States Army. Upon his honorable discharge from the service, he was united in marriage to Margie D. Nolan at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Annandale on September 2, 1967. He then worked for Layne Minnesota Company for nearly 25 years. In 1993, Larry began his own business, Larry Alberg Municipal & Industrial Services, a job he worked at until retiring in 2014. Larry is a member of the Maple Lake American Legion, Annandale Conservation Club and was a past president of the Ridge Riders Snowmobile Club. Larry enjoyed grilling, hunting, fishing, being on his tractor, tending to his flowers, and feeding the deer. He also liked to ride 4-wheeler, snowmobile, and simply being on the lake. Having lunch with his brother-in-law, Russell, was something Larry always looked forward to. Larry also enjoyed the time he spent in “The Woods” with his brother, Quentin, and his daily drives around Annandale. Above all, Larry treasured the time he was able to spend with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Margie of Annandale; daughters and their spouses, Jacqueline and Kurt Bruhn of Buffalo, Larissa and Peter Wadman of Annandale, and Shelly and Thomas Hurrle of Annandale; 7 adoring grandchildren, Ashley, Brett, Austin, Jakob, Katlyn, Shayla and Grace; sister, Karen (Lee) Munstenteiger of Grenada, MS; brother, Quentin (Mary) Alberg of Buffalo; brother-in-law, Russell Yonak of Buffalo; sister-in-law, Marilyn Alberg of Buffalo; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and other family members and friends. Larry is preceded in death by his father, Edwin, mother, Lila (Mabus) Alberg Schaaf, brother, Charles Alberg,  sister, Betty Yonak and step-father, Michael Schaaf.

Brett, Jakob, and Peter Wadman, Austin & Thomas Hurrle, and Kurt Bruhn will serve as pallbearers. Ashley Wadman, Katlyn Hurrle, Shayla and Grace Bruhn will serve as honorary pallbearers. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
