So sorry for the passing of Grandma Ethel. What a sweet beautiful person! As a teacher at the elementary school where Ethel worked, I was blessed by the interactions that I had with Grandma Ethel. The "busy"ness of my job as a teacher sometimes had me running from place to place at a fast pace, but whenever I would pass Grandma Ethel in the hallway, I would stop and she would always pause where ever she was going and hold my hand and help me be in the moment and remind me what really matters with her presence. Be in the moment, enjoy those around you, and talk. I loved hearing her stories. I could listen to her talk all day! What a wonderful lady! Truly, she blessed all those who were around her.

Ethel and, I talked in the front room at Goldendale all the time when I go there to see my Mother. I cherish the time I talked with her about a little everything. The most I learned in my life is from the wise elders. Thank you Ethel for being there to talk with on my tough days. I shall miss your smiling face when I step into Goldendale and, you are not in the chair. Your memory is in my mind forever. Thanks for being you!

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I will always remember Ethel's great smile...especially when she smiled at me just a few hours before her death as we entrusted her into the love and care of God. She was a caring soul who touched the lives of many and she will be missed! Blessed be her memory!!!!!

A more wonderful auntie I could not have had. She touched so many lives and always had a smile for everyone. I will really miss her.
