Kenneth M. Zander, age 84, of Cokato, formerly Maple Lake, died Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at the Cokato Manor Nursing Home.

     Graveside Services will be held 9:00 a.m., Friday, August 5, 2016 at Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Maple Lake with Pastor Marc Well Nagel officiating. Visitation will start 10:00 a.m. Friday at the church.

     Kenneth Mark Zander was born May 29, 1932 in Maple Lake to Mark and Esther (Mielke) Zander.  He served in the US Army from 1953-1955. Kenneth married Rozella Marquette on May 17, 1958 and they later divorced. Kenneth then married Norma A. (Wolfsteller) Thurber on July 18, 1987 in St. Cloud and she preceded him in death on March 13, 2001. He farmed in Albion Township, Wright County for many years, and later was employed by Faribault Foods, Cokato before retiring in 2007.  Kenneth lived most of his life in the Maple Lake area where he was a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ.

     Kenneth is survived by his children, Tom (Cindy), Tim, John, and Barb (Roger) Polo all of Maple Lake; step children, Valarie (Clifford) Schultz, Brenda Mass, and Vickie Fosjord; 13 grandchildren, Dan and Elizabeth Zander, Jacob, Lucas, Linsey, Eric, Scott, and Mitchell Nystrom, Jennifer Ludlow, Nicole and Christopher Schultz, and Heather Finholm; 7 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and grandson Joseph Zander.
