Jerry Haas, Jr. age 57 of Maple Lake, formerly of New Hope, died unexpectedly and peacefully on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at his home.

    Celebration of Jerry’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the Maple Lake American Legion.  Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service.  Military honors will conclude the service.  A reception will follow.

    Gerald John Haas, Jr. was born December 13, 1958 in Robbinsdale to Gerald, Sr. and Sarah (Matthews) Haas.  He served his country with the U.S. Marine Corps.  Jerry lived in the New Hope and Crystal area prior to moving to Maple Lake in 1999.  After 23 years together, he was united in marriage to Pamela Fussy on August 2, 2014 in Maple Lake.  Jerry enjoyed restoring old cars, woodworking and fishing.  He loved life, he lived it to the fullest and enjoyed every moment. 

    Jerry is survived by his wife Pam; children Eric Trudeau of Harris, Andrea Haas of Ramsey and Brittani Haas of Minneapolis; step daughter Jamie (Rick) Cary of Coon Rapids; many grandchildren including Anthony, Caden and Meg; sisters Denise Hukriede of Crystal and Melisa Riel of Elk River, brother Rich (Anne) Haas of Richmond; and many nieces, nephews and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents Gerald Haas, Sr. and Sarah Davies; brother-in-law Tim Hukriede; and niece Nikki.

    Dan Irvin will lead the Celebration Service.  Military Honors will be provided by the Minnesota National Guard Honor Guard and the joint honor guard of the Maple Lake American Legion and Maple Lake VFW.  Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
