Delores V. Hanson, age 87, of Long Lake, died Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held 8:30 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2016 at the Annandale Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Denny Johnson officiating. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will be 11:05 a.m. Friday, December 2 at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, assembly area 1.
Delores Verna Hanson was born August 28, 1929 in Waseca to Clarence and Irene (Goltz) Born. She worked as a nurses’ aid at Waseca Hospital prior to being married. On September 28, 1962, she was united in marriage to Harold Hanson at the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Waseca. Delores was a faithful and active member of the Wayzata Evangelical Free Church prior to moving to the Annandale Care Center. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband Harold of Long Lake; daughter Marie (Dan) Hedtke of South Haven; son Daniel Hanson of Minnetonka; grandchildren Clint, Lucas and Lily Hedtke; and sister-in-law Anita Born of Sioux Falls, SD; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Dale, Willard and Luverne Born; and sisters Mary Ann Kopischke and Gladys Ewendt.
The casket bearers will be Clint Hedtke, Lucas Hedtke and Dan Hedtke and Daniel Hanson. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
