Wayne Bidwell Obituary

Wayne H. Bidwell, age 73, of Silver Creek, died Monday, October 28, 2019 at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Silver Creek Community Church near Maple Lake. Pastor Zach Pryor will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at a later date at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.

Wayne Homer Bidwell was born on December 13, 1945 in Minneapolis to Homer and Florence (Scharf) Bidwell. He graduated from Bloomington High School with the Class of 1963. On November 28, 1963, Wayne was united in marriage to Meri Lynn Eggie in Las Vegas, Nevada. As a member of the Marine Corps, Wayne proudly served his country in Vietnam. They settled down in Maple Lake where they raised their three sons. They moved to Silver Creek 27 years ago, where Wayne and Lynn owned and operated Best in Webb Printing in Monticello. Wayne had an entrepreneurs' heart and was always trying new things. He was a member of Silver Creek Community Church where he served as a deacon, and a former member of the Monticello Rotary Club and the Maple Lake VFW. Wayne enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing and was an avid Vikings football fan. He loved to visit with family and be with his grandchildren.

Wayne is survived by his sons, Jim (Cheri) of Maple Lake, Rob (Wendy) of Silver Creek, and Randy of Fairhaven; eight grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob, Justin, Joshua, Megan, Alissa, Jenna and Emily; one great grand-daughter, Kaysie; sister, Colleen (Mac) McFarlane of Richfield; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lorie (Dale) Plaggerman of Clearwater and Dick Lee of Annandale; and niece, nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Florence; wife, Lynn; and sister-in-law, Luana Lee.

Zachary, Jacob, Justin and Joshua Bidwell will serve as urn bearers. Randy, Megan, Alissa, Jenna and Emily Bidwell will provide the eulogy. Don DeBoer and Sara Kivi will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
