Vivian Devens Gullett, age 92, of Maple Lake, Minnesota, formerly of LaCrescenta, California, died Saturday morning, May 18, 2019 at NC Little Hospice in Edina, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake with Fr. Andrew Stueve as the Celebrant. Visitation will be from 9-10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Maple Lake. Burial will be in San Fernando Mission Cemetery, Mission Hills, CA. Memorials are preferred to your local animal shelter or the NC Little Hospice.
Vivian Delores Gullett was born June 25, 1926 in Minneapolis to Alvin and Ann Marie (Veit) Devens. She graduated with the Class of 1944 from Glendale High School in Glendale, CA. On April 7, 1951, Viv was united in marriage to Kenneth E. Gullett in Glendale, CA. She worked as a bookkeeper at Western Auto Company, a teller at Marquette National Bank, was head teller at Second Pacific Bank and was a sign painter on the side. She was a member of the St. Timothy Catholic Church, Maple Lake American Legion Auxiliary for 23 years and was a lifetime member of the Maple Lake VFW Auxiliary. She was also a member of HOG and was an avid Harley rider for over 70 years, always riding her own bike. Viv enjoyed traveling, sports, and animals and always had a dog.
She is survived by her children, Ann Marie (Blair) Whitten of Ojai, CA, John Gullett of Ventura, CA and Tanya Gullett of Ojai, CA; three grandchildren, Christian (Jina) Provensen, Bryan Whitten and Natasha Gullett; three great grandchildren, Rhya and Saydee Provensen, and Bailey Sammie Powers; special friends, Robyn Sorlien and Jim Robb of Clearwater, MN; and her dog, Nova. Vivian is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Don Devens; and cousins, David and Ed Veit.
