Thomas R. Rosenow, age 70, of Kimball died with his family at his side on Friday, October 1, 2021 at his home on Lake Carnelian.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Kimball Christian Church in Kimball with Pastor Kevin White officiating. Burial will follow at Fairhaven Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Kimball and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. Services will be livestreamed on the funeral home website. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to CentraCare Coborn Cancer Center or CentraCare Home Health and Hospice.
Thomas Robert Rosenow was born December 23, 1950 at the St. Cloud Hospital to Dale and Elvina (VanVleet) Rosenow. He was baptized and confirmed in his faith at the Church of St. Anne in Kimball. Tom grew up and lived his entire life in the Kimball area. He graduated from Kimball High School with the Class of 1968 and attended St. Cloud Vocational where he earned a degree in auto mechanics. On May 1, 1971, he was united in marriage to Darlene Capes at the Church of St. Anne in Kimball. Tom worked as an auto mechanic at Mies Ford in Watkins prior to working as a supervisor at Cold Spring Granite. In retirement, he continued to stay busy by running parts for Parts City and watching his grandkids. He was a former member of the Kimball Rod and Gun Club where he also taught gun safety. Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, attending his grandkids sporting events and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene; sons, Steven (Jessie) of Becker and Scott (Heidi Jo) of South Haven; grandchildren, Danielle, Josie, Haden, Jake and Garret; great-grandson, Brody; and sisters and brother, Karen (Jim) Neu of Richmond, Mike (Diane) of Kimball, Audrey Purcell of Annandale and Kathy (Tom) Stuckey of Carol Stream, IL.
The casket bearers will be Haden, Josie, Jake and Brad Rosenow, David Stuckey and Michael Neu. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Kimball.
