Scott Thomas Johansen

Scott T. Johansen, age 55, of St. Cloud, formerly of Hastings, died, Thursday, July 29, 2021 at the St. Cloud Hospital after a long struggle with diabetes, a heart condition, and three strokes.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Hastings.

Scott Thomas Johansen was born December 30, 1965 in Minneapolis to Walter and Shirley (McGinnis) Johansen. Scott grew up in Champlin until his dad died in 1976. His mother re-married to Scott's stepfather, Gerry Hughes, and the family moved to Hastings. Scott graduated from Hastings High School. Scott served his country in the Minnesota National Guard. Over the years, he worked for various employers, in manufacturing and warehouses. Scott was always looking to make those around him laugh, whether it be telling a joke or playing a prank. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Scott is survived by his siblings, Larry (Jeanine) Tyler of Crosby, Cheryl (Tim) Rootes of Castle Bay, NC, Sue (Dennis) Ploog of Annandale, Gary Johansen of South Haven, and Peggy (Don) Sherry of Hastings; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Johansen; mother, Shirley Hughes; stepfather, Gerry Hughes; niece, Nicole Lasley; and nephew, Brandon Cox.
