Ruby Vivian Geisinger was born February 12, 1923 in Albion Township, the only child to Joseph Dewey and Helen Myrtle (Johnson) Vadner. Ruby grew up in Southside Township on the original Vadner Homestead farm. She was baptized on June 14, 1923 and later confirmed on June 19, 1938 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Annandale. As a young girl Ruby enjoyed being outside helping her parents with the farm chores. She also enjoyed fishing and swimming on Lake Sylvia with her best friend, Lorraine Johnson. This friendship blossomed over the years and later Lorraine served as Ruby's maid of honor. During Ruby's formative years, she looked forward to the Annandale 4th of July races. She would sign up every year and run the races to win money. While attending Annandale High School, she was a member of the first girl's basketball team, as well as competing on the track team. She was proud to have earned a letter for both sports. She graduated from Annandale High School with the class of 1941.

On January 1, 1942 Ruby was united in marriage to Arthur E. Geisinger at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Middleville Township. One of Ruby's fondest memories when dating Art was on their first date. It consisted of going into South Haven to watch a free movie that was projected on the sidewall of a building. They started their married life farming the land they purchased near South Haven until the mid-1950s when they moved into Annandale. By this time, Ruby was busy raising three sons and caring for the home, while Art worked outside the home. As their boys grew, Ruby became more involved with the Minnesota Territorial Pioneers and was a lifetime member of Grand Army Republic, serving as secretary. She was also a member of the Wright County Historical Society, Southside Birthday Club, and Annandale Pioneer Park. Ruby was very active in her church, Zion Lutheran Church, where she was a part of the LWML, fellowship club, and sang in the choir. During her leisure time she was fishing, hunting, documenting family genealogy, and traveling the world with her husband. In her retirement years, she and Arthur would spend their winters in Arizona. Ruby's greatest hobby was reading and clipping out recipes from newspapers or magazines while watching the birds from her dining room window. Ruby loved her boys and truly enjoyed time spent with all her family and friends.

Ruby is survived by her sons, Gary (Beryl) of Annandale, Ronald (Mary Ann) of Annandale and Kevin (Susie) of Buffalo; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren;sister-in-law, Lois Geisinger of New Brighton; and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Owen; great-grandchildren, Kristina, Joseph, and Grace Ann Steffen; husband of 75 years, Art; parents, Joseph and Helen Vadner; and grandson-in-law, Paul Schermer.

Ruby's grandchildren, Rhonda Schermer, Jennifer McCollow, Jeff Geisinger, Lori Steffen, Josh Geisinger, and Joe Geisinger will serve as casket bearers, with Alex Steffen and Lois Geisinger as honorary casket bearers.
