Roy G. Donabauer, age 60, of St. Joseph, Minnesota died Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2020 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Kimball with Fr. James Statz as Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Anne Catholic Cemetery. The service will be live-streamed on the Dingmann Funeral Care Website.
Roy Gary Donabauer was born December 22, 1959 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Leo and Dorraine (Schaefer) Donabauer. Roy grew up in Maine Prairie Township and attended school in Kimball, graduating with the Class of 1978. He furthered his education at St. Cloud Vocational Technical College, obtaining an electrical degree. On November 12, 1988, Roy was united in marriage to Carmen K. White in St. Cloud. Over the years, Roy worked in the granite business for both Delano Granite and Cold Spring Granite. He also worked for Opportunity Training Center in St. Cloud for a number of years. In recent years, Roy's responsibilities shifted to caring for his and Carmen's home. In his spare time, Roy enjoyed fishing, having game nights with his family, and tending to his garden. Every June and August, Roy looked forward to camping at Tipsinah Mounds Campground in Elbow Lake with his family.
Roy is survived by his wife of 31 years, Carmen of St. Joseph; mother, Dorraine Donabauer of Kimball; siblings, Karen Seth (Steve Jeske) of Maple Lake, Jim of South Haven, Nancy Herges of Kimball, David (Sue) of Kimball, Sharon (Donald) Lommel of Clear Lake, Joy (Donald) Mathies of Richmond, Alan (Linda) of Oak Park, Richard of Stanchfield and Lisa (David) Silbernagel of Kimball; parents-in-law, Walter and Audrey White of Kimball; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Leo; sister, Donna; brother, Dale; sister-in-law, Sherry; brother-in-law, Bill; and niece, Angel.
Alan Donabauer, Logan Silbernagel, Alex Silbernagel and Doug White will serve as urn bearers. Garry Linn will play guitar for the service. Arrangements entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Kimball.
