Ronald Dean Marschel was born May 1, 1958, in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Delbert and Ruth (Gunderson) Marschel. Ron grew up in Annandale with his siblings, where he also graduated from school in 1976. Ron was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Annandale. Following his graduation, Ron served in the Army National Guard. On August 1, 1981, Ron was united in marriage to Sandra Wallick at St. John's Lutheran Church in Annandale, and they later divorced. They were blessed with a daughter, Katie. During his working career, Ron worked as a machinist for WSI in Long Lake and then Monticello. He was a member of the local Union #973. In his younger years, Ron enjoyed spending time on Lake Francis, canoeing, camping, deer hunting, and going to concerts.
