Mildred Elizabeth (Looman) Dircks

Mildred E. Dircks, age 101, of Maple Lake, died Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Lake Ridge Care Center in Buffalo.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Maple Lake with Fr. Kevin Magner as the officiant. Burial will follow at St. Timothy Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mildred was born on December 15, 1921, in Kimball, Minnesota to William and Hubertine (Hanssen) Looman. She grew up in the Fairhaven and Kimball area. On September 16, 1941, Leo and Mildred were united in marriage. Mildred and Leo raised their family in Maple Lake. During her working career she dedicated 30 years to Carlson Doll in Maple Lake working as a doll manufacturer. Mildred enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins and looked forward to weekly lunches with her family and friends. Her smile and love for her family will be deeply missed.

Mildred is survived by her daughter Ann Cruikshank of Maple Lake; son, Robert (Roberta) Dircks of Orono; grandchildren, Todd Wurm, Audra Haveman, Robert Craig Dircks, and Molly Bender; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Hubertine; husband, Leo; grandchildren, Lisa Potter, Mark Wurm, and Meaghan Swensen.

Todd Wurm, Hunter Wurm, Hayden Wurm, Craig Dircks, and Cole Potter will serve as urn bearers.
