Mary Louise (Nordquist) Gelo

Mary L. Gelo, age 72, of Maple Lake died Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at her home at Maple Lake Manor.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Lakeview Cemetery, Maple Lake. Pastor Alex Becker will officiate. A reception will follow at the Maple Lake American Legion.

Mary Louise Gelo was born in Minneapolis to Earl and Georgia (Hart) Nordquist on December 19, 1945. She grew up in Bloomington and graduated from Bloomington High School. Mary worked at Advanced Machine Company in Mound, Carlson Company in Minnetonka and Callan Publishing in Plymouth. She enjoyed collectibles, reading and anything outdoors such as fishing, gardening, boating, canoeing, rock collecting and camping. She loved her dogs and the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her son Daniel (Lynn) Gelo; three grandchildren Christine (Rick) Miller, Tyler Gelo, and Madison Gelo; two great-grandchildren Aubrey and Chase Miller; and former husband Lynn Gelo. She is preceded in death by her two daughters Tari Gelo and Kelly Gelo; and her parents.
