Mary Jane (Stock) Churchill

Mary J. Churchill, age 74, of Monticello, formerly of Maple Lake, died Friday, November 5, 2021 at the River Falls Area Hospital in River Falls, WI.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Maple Lake with Fr. Marty Shallbetter officiating. Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, November 10 and 10-11 a.m., Thursday, November 11, both at the funeral chapel in Maple Lake. The service will be live-streamed on the funeral home website.

Mary Jane Stock was born September 25, 1947 in Watertown to Ervin and Lenora (Weckop) Stock. She attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Waverly. On November 27, 1964, Mary was united in marriage to Byron Bruce Churchill in Buffalo. They made their home in Montrose for many years before moving to Maple Lake in 1993. Over the years, Mary worked at Montrose Elementary School, Wright County Courthouse, and Carlson Companies; she retired in 1994. Mary enjoyed painting, making memory bears, needle point, and spending time with family.

She is survived by her three children, Jim (Jody) of Maple Lake, Tim (Teresa) of Monticello, and Theresa Korbel of Delano; four grandchildren, Lenora, Noelle, Stephanie, and Courtney; six great-grandchildren; brother, Meryl "Jack" (Carolyn) Stock of Prescott Valley, AZ; and sister, Barbara "Bobby" Johnson of Buffalo. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin and Lenora Stock; husband, Byron; grandson, Christopher; brothers, Dennis and Wayne Stock; and sisters, Sandra Westrum and Colleen Tolzmann.
