Marjorie Landmesser Obituary

Marjorie J. Landmesser, age 91, of Maple Lake and formerly of Minneapolis, died October 17, 2020 at The Glenn in Buffalo.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Bethlehem United Church of Christ in Maple Lake with Pastor Marc Well Nagel officiating. The service will be livestreamed on the funeral home website. Distancing and mask restrictions will be observed. Burial will take place at a later date at Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa, IA.

Marjorie Joyce Landmesser was born June 12, 1929 in Oskaloosa, IA to William and Grace (Downey) Landmesser. They lived in Oskaloosa until Marj was 7, when the family moved to Minneapolis. Marjorie graduated from West High School in Minneapolis with the Class of 1947 and continued her education at the University of Minnesota. Marj was a dog groomer, owning and operating Canine Craft in Minneapolis for 27 years. After retiring in 1987, she moved to Maple Lake. Marjorie was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, former member of Hennepin Avenue Methodist Church, Charter member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and a current member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ. She enjoyed woodworking and caneing chairs.

She is survived by her sister, Louise Haaland of Carlisle, PA; nieces and nephew, Janet (Joe) Polach of Minnetonka, Bill (Nancy) Haaland of Jackson, WY and Karen (Todd) Wronski of Carlisle, PA; many great nieces, great nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Urn bearers will be Janet Polach, Bill Haaland and Karen Wronski. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
