Landis Ashford Benton

Landis A. Benton, age 18, of South Haven, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 16, 2021.

Public Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale. Private Funeral Services will be held 2:30 p.m. on Monday, March 22, 2021 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with Fr. Ron Weyrens. Burial will take place at Pleasant View Cemetery, Annandale. The service will be live-streamed on the funeral home's website.

Landis Ashford Benton was born March 30, 2002 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Rose Chadwick and Landis Benton. Landis grew up in Fairhaven Township and attended school in Annandale. In his younger years, he liked to skateboard, ride dirt bike and fish. Most recently, Landis enjoyed gaming, hitting the slopes on his snowboard, and drifting in one of his latest beater vehicles. He loved the time he spent with his friends and brothers.

Landis is survived by his mother and stepfather, Rose (Chris) Gleason of Fairhaven; father, Landis Benton of Hastings; siblings, Marissa Benton, Jacob Gleason, and Timothy Gleason; grandmothers, Carol Bach of Fairhaven, and Darla Benton of Kimball; aunts and uncles, Jennifer Chadwick, Rochelle (Andrew) Nordberg and Zach Bach; cousins, Alivia, Andrew, Braxten, and Brooke Kukowski, and Sadie Nordberg; and other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph Chadwick.
 

Jehrett Alama, Landis Benton, Jesse Lemieux, Jimmy Seagraves, Art Stenson, and Larry Ward will serve as pallbearers. Julene Faber-Andrusick will provide music for the service.
