Julia Arns Obituary

Julia Jo Arns was born on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 12:30 a.m at The Mother Baby Center at Abbott Northwestern & Children’s Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis, the daughter of John and Brianna (Barrett) Arns. Julia grew in her mother’s womb for 28 weeks and 3 days. Named after her grandmothers, Julia Jo was born weighing 3.7 lbs. and was 15 inches long. Uncertain if Julia’s time on earth would be limited, she overwhelmingly filled the hearts of those that loved her.  A blessing from above, Julia gave her parents the joyful news of finding out they were going to be parents to a little girl, the sound of her tiny heartbeat, and the fluttering feelings of her kicks and movements. Only having known love, Julia responded to the sound of her Dad’s voice and his singing, as well as, letting her Mom know she enjoyed being active in the evening hours. Sorrowful heartache filled the hearts of Julia’s family as she took her last breath a few hours after her birth. Despite her time on earth being short, Julia’s fighting personality was evident to her family and the medical staff that was caring for her. The love, hopes, and dreams for Julia have become treasured memories for all those who so dearly loved her.

Julia is survived by her parents, John and Brianna Arns of Maple Lake; grandparents, John & Julia Barrett of Annandale and Bill & JoLynn Arns of St. Michael; great grandparents, Marilyn Alberg of Buffalo, Carol Arns of Green Valley, AZ, and Dale & Marlene Scherber of Rogers; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Julia was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Charles Alberg, Byron & Dolores Barrett, and Norman Arns Sr.
