Joseph Lee Zander, age 17, of Maple Lake died Wednesday, November 13, 2002 at home.
Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 17, 2002 at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Maple Lake with Rev. David Martens officiating.
Joseph Lee Zander was born August 30, 1985 in Buffalo to Thomas K. and Cynthia R. (Madsen) Zander. He lived in Maple Lake all his life where he was a junior at Maple Lake High School. This past summer, Joseph spent three months working with 4th grade Webalo`s at Camp Stearns, South Haven. He was a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Maple Lake. Joseph was a loving and caring person with a huge heart. He loved his family, friends, church, children, and helping others.
Joseph is survived by his parents, Thomas and Cynthia; sister, Elizabeth; and brother, Daniel all of Maple Lake; grandfather, Kenneth Zander of Cokato; great grandfather, Mark Zander of Maple Lake; grandmother, Phyllis Madsen of Annandale; aunts; uncles; cousins; and friends. His two grandmothers, Rose Zander and Norma Zander preceded him in death.
Pallbearers were Travis and Ryan Rogers, Josh Miller, Darin Kociemba, Shane Lindstrom and Blayne Field. Honorary Pallbearers were Joseph`s Confirmation class, Chelsie Ritter, Marie LeVoir, Vicki Hruby and Miranda Fritz.
Music for the funeral provided by Pearl Lieb, Cathy Bussey-Wolff, and Bethlehem United Church of Christ Choir.
