Jack Ernest Sunderland was born April 4, 1949, in Pekin, Illinois to William and Ethel (Linner) Sunderland. As a young boy, Jack moved with his family to Crystal, Minnesota. He graduated from Robbinsdale Cooper High School. In 1968, Jack was united in marriage to Phyllis Miller in South Dakota. Over the years he worked for the Food Engineering Corp. in Plymouth, prior to retiring from New Flyer in St. Augusta.
