Harvey William Fraber was born March 26, 1931 in St. Paul, Minnesota to John and Anna (Rothbauer) Fraber. Harvey grew up in the Frogtown neighborhood of St. Paul and attended grade school at St. Agnes. He then attended and graduated from Mechanic Arts High School. Harvey honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. On June 18, 1960 he was united in marriage to Maureen Marguerite Brennan at St. Vincent Catholic Church in St. Paul. Harvey and Maureen made their home in Roseville, while he worked as a shipping supervisor for Gillette Company. What started as a favorite childhood destination on Pleasant Lake, became their home in 2017, when Harvey and Maureen moved to their cabin year-round. They were members of St. Odilia Catholic Church in Shoreview, as well as St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Annandale. Harvey was also a member of the Frogtown American Legion #484 and Korean War Vets Chapter 1. For well over 50 years, Harvey enjoyed coming to Pleasant Lake to fish and be on the water. He also enjoyed hunting.

Harvey is survived by his wife of 60 years, Maureen of Annandale; children, Kelleen (Steven) Alberg of Buffalo and Kevin of South Haven; grandchildren, Jillian (Jason) Post and Andrew (Hannah) Alberg; great-grandchildren, Gwen Post and Wade Harvey Post; 3 nieces, 3 nephews, and other family members.
