Gloria Fern (Stueve) Cargill

Gloria F. Cargill, age 89, of Coon Rapids died Monday, February 8, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Anoka.

Walk-through visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale. A private funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday with Pastor Lori Artner officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Southside Cemetery. The funeral service will be livestreamed on the funeral home website.

Gloria Fern Cargill was born November 17, 1931 in Missouri Valley, Iowa to Arthur and Golda (Hoyt) Stueve. On September 12, 1948, she was united in marriage to Ervin E. Cargill in Jackson, Minnesota. They lived in Brooklyn Park as well as the Cokato and Annandale area. Gloria farmed alongside Ervin and worked as a meat wrapper at Penny's Super Markets for 20 years. She retired in 1980. Gloria was a member of the Maple Lake American Legion Auxiliary, the Red Hat Society and the Senior Citizen Club of Coon Rapids. She enjoyed doing crafts, spending time with family, and caring for others. She will be remembered for her heart of gold and her wise words of wisdom.

Gloria is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (Al) Matheson of Blaine; 10 grandchildren, Janelle, Stacy (Aaron), Mike, Sal, Lori, Jesse, John, Brad, Dallas, and Dusty; 18 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Golda Stueve; husband, Ervin Cargill; sons, Roger, Randy and Richard Cargill; daughter, Robin Ray; brothers, Gerald, Gail, Grover, Gordon, Gene and Glen Stueve; and sisters, Greta Voigt, Gretchen Stueve, Genelle Stueve, and Geneva Barnett.

The casket bearers will be Janelle, Mike, Sal, Ryan, Zach, and Jesse. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
