Gary P. Vosberg, age 70, of Maple Lake, died Monday, November 22, 2021 surrounded by his family at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00-6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake.
Gary Peter Vosberg was born on April 12, 1951 in Slayton, Minnesota to Gerhart and LaVonne (Gilles) Vosberg. As a young boy, Gary grew up on the family farm, before moving into the Worthington city limits. Gary graduated from Worthington High School in 1969 and then attended Worthington State Junior College. During this time, Gary also served in the Minnesota National Guard. In the late 1970's, Gary and his family moved to their home on Ramsey Lake. Gary worked various jobs over his career, including Sterner Lighting and his own landscaping business, Always Green Sprinkler and Landscape. Gary enjoyed his time on the water on Ramsey Lake and Lake Fork, Texas whether it be going for pontoon rides or fishing. It was not uncommon for family and friends to gather around a bonfire Gary started. He also looked forward to winters in Alba, Texas. If Gary wasn't fishing or fishing, there was a good chance you could find him on the lake fishing.
Gary is survived by his children, Jason (Lisa) Vosberg of Cokato and Jessica (significant other, Kory) Schiro of Buffalo; 5 grandchildren, Jordan, Valerie, and Ava Vosberg, and Sierra and Braden Schiro; significant other, Margaret Grants of Maple Grove; sister, Cindy (Mike) Gordon of Minnetonka; brother-in-law, Jerry Reller of Taylors Falls; and nieces, nephews, other family members, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, JoAnn Reller.
