Floyd M. Knudson, age 92, of Kimball, formerly of Brooklyn Center, died Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Park View Care Center in Buffalo, Minnesota.
Private family services will be held. Memorials are preferred to the Annandale Care Center Memory Care Cottages.
Floyd Milo Knudson was born April 1, 1931, in Coon Rapids, Minnesota to Carl and Agnes (Anderson) Knudson. Floyd grew up in Coon Rapids. On August 29, 1953, Floyd was united in marriage to Rosella Louise Schwartz at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Elk River. They made their home in Brooklyn Center, where they raised their three children. Floyd worked at Jerry's Foods for many years in Edina, retiring as the produce manager. He was a member of Eternal Hope Lutheran Church in Brooklyn Park. In 2018, Floyd and Rosella moved to Kimball to reside with their daughter. For the past three years, Floyd has resided at the Ananndale Care Center Memory Cottage.
In his spare time, Floyd enjoyed throwing horseshoes, bowling, fishing, camping, and polka music. He also liked to golf, and was fortunate enough to have made three holes-in-one over the years. Above all, Floyd cherished the time he was able to spend with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Rosella of Kimball; children, Christine (Bradley) Kent of Elk River, Timothy (Kimberly) Knudson of Spring Lake Park, and Vanessa Wentland of Kimball; 5 grandchildren, Joshua Hedlund, Tiffany Knudson, Amy Knudson, Timothy Knudson II, and Daniel Lohr; 7 great-grandchildren, Raedyn and Kaleb Hedlund, Alissa Nelson, Alexis Gilbertson, Alexis Lohr, Sierra Judd, and Sophia Lohr; brother, Eugene (Marion) Knudson; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Krystal Lohr; and eleven siblings.
Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Kimball.
