Dennis Joseph Rasset was born June 10, 1949 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Marvin and Grace (Olson) Rasset. He grew up in Annandale, graduating from Annandale High School with the class of 1967. On April 30, 1976, Chopper was united in marriage to Mary Lou Ahsenmacher at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Annandale. He was a realtor with Wright County Realty in Annandale for 20 years, retiring in 2007. Chopper was a lifelong resident of Annandale and very proud of his hometown. St. Ignatius Catholic Church was where he was a parishioner his whole life. Chopper will be fondly remembered for his love for his family and friends, his big hugs, his detailed stories, watching his grandkids grow, countless poker games, garage sales, bird watching, his love for our annual 4th of July family gathering, enjoying his beautiful view of Pleasant lake from his big chair, deer hunting, duck hunting, goose hunting, pheasant hunting, and for his unmeasurable knowledge and skill for fishing and catching walleyes and crappies all while keeping it top secret where the fish were biting.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Rasset of Annandale; son and daughters, Eric (Stacy) Rasset of South Haven, Carrie (Mike) Kronquist of Loretto and Nickie (Raz) Mateescu of Forest Lake; grandchildren, McKenna and Ava Kronquist, and Charlie Rasset; mother, Grace Rasset of Annandale; brothers and sisters, Jim (Bonna) Rasset of Ortonville, Bonnie (Dean) Hoglund of Annandale and Patty Rasset of Edina; sisters-in-law, Shelley Rasset and Sue Rasset both of Annandale.
