Darlene Joyce (Scherr) Stuve

Darlene Joyce Stuve, age 78, of Fairhaven, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 10, 2023, at Savanna Prairie.

A Memorial Service in celebration of her wonderful life will be held 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2023, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Darlene Joyce Stuve was born on February 7,1945, in Buffalo, Minnesota to Clarence and LaVerne (Holland) Scherr. Darlene grew up among 10 siblings on a small country farm near Monticello. She graduated from Monticello High School with the Class of 1963. In 1963 she also met Larry Stuve; the two of them married and had three children. While Darlene was raising her children in Fairhaven, she also ran an in-home daycare. Her favorite activity at the time was watching her children get off the school bus each day, then running for her with their hands stretched out. Among various other jobs her greatest joy was being a mother.

Darlene will be greatly missed by her children, Jodi (Joel) Spaeth, Kirt Stuve, and Shawn Stuve; grandchildren, Mark Stuve, Mandy (Justin) Glunz, Ashley (Robbie) Green, Samantha (Ryan) Fritz, Chaz (Kelsey) Stuve, Tyler (Sheena) Spaeth, Cassey (Mitch) Schmidt, Sheena Stuve, Kayla Stuve, and Kristina Stuve; great-grandchildren, Zoe, Kailey, Bryson, Madilyn, Jehrett, Jana, Jaida, Lydia, Jacob, Emily, Ezra, Braylin, Teegan, Everett, Miles, Matix, Karson, Blake, Brody, Tucker, and Mavrik; great-great-grandchild, Ruby; 7 siblings, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and LaVerne; sisters, Cheryl, and Lois; and brother, Billie.
