Clarice Adeline (Kleven) Wilson

Clarice "Clare" Wilson, age 88, formerly of Maple Lake, died Sunday, January 8, 2023, at the CentraCare Monticello Care Center.

A graveside service will be held 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at St. Timothy Catholic Cemetery in Maple Lake.

Clarice Adeline Kleven was born November 4, 1934, in Erdahl, Minnesota to Peter and Hilda (Elvestad) Kleven. She graduated high school in Starbuck, Minnesota with the class of 1952. Clare furthered her education at St. Olaf College and the University of Minnesota where she earned her bachelor's degree in English. Her working career was spent in the metro area where she worked as a Principal Secretary for over 30 years with the University. Clare enjoyed gardening, listening to her vinyl records, and playing the piano. She was an avid reader and had over 2,500 books in her library.

Clare is survived by her daughter, Barbara Perger of Cornelius, OR; son, John Wilson of St. Cloud, MN; grandchildren, Audric Perger, Signa Perger, and Nicole Wilson; great-grandchildren, Malika Johson, and Kenna Perger; and brother, Wesley (Nancy) Kleven of Livonia, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Hilda; daughter, Christine Wilson; sister, Dorothy Pabst; brother, Orlin Kleven; and nephew, Peter Kleven.
