Cindy L. Wills, age 59, of Fairhaven, died on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at her home.
Memorial Services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Kimball with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Pastor David Milz will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairhaven Cemetery. The service will be livestreamed on the Dingmann Funeral Care website.
Cindy Louise Wills was born July 2, 1962 in St. Cloud to William and Evelyn (Markwardt) Maurer. She grew up in Fairhaven Township, was baptized and confirmed at Concordia Lutheran Church in Fairhaven, and graduated from Kimball High School with the Class of 1980. Cindy continued her education in Granite Falls in Medical Transcription. On August 21, 1982, she was united in marriage to Steven Wills at Concordia Lutheran Church in Fairhaven. They lived for a short time in Baytown, TX and Longview, TX, before moving back to Fairhaven Township where they raised their family. Cindy worked for 33 years at Stearns County Human Services, retiring on Dec. 31 of 2021.
Cindy was a former member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Fairhaven and a current member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Kimball. She had served as Secretary for the Church Council for numerous years. Cindy enjoyed reading, traveling, snowmobiling, fishing, and flower gardening. She loved to spend time with family, especially with her grandchildren who were her pride and joy.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Steve; son, Dustin of Fairhaven; daughter, Megan (Logan) Piepkorn of Weatherford, TX; grandchildren, Archer, Everley, Fiona, and Truett Piepkorn; mother, Evelyn Maurer of Annandale; brother, Craig Maurer of Annandale; niece, Monique (Mario) Vasquez; and grandniece, Melina Vasquez. She was preceded in death by her father, William Maurer; brother, David Maurer; grandson, William Marvin Piepkorn; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Darrel and Shirley Wills; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Pamela Wills.
The urn bearers will be Nicole Jarvis, Chad, Jason, Courtney, Jesse, Michael and Brian Wills. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Kimball.
