Christopher Adam Gutknecht

Christopher A. Gutknecht, age 34, of Clearwater, died suddenly on Friday, November 4, 2022 as a result of an auto accident.

Public visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale. A private funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 also at the funeral chapel. Burial will follow at Concordia Lutheran Cemetery in Fairhaven. A livestream of the funeral service will be available on the funeral home website.

Christopher Adam Gutknecht was born September 18, 1988 at the St. Cloud Hospital to Mark and Roxanne (Schreiner) Gutknecht. He grew up in rural Clearwater, attending school in Annandale and graduating with the Class of 2007 from Kimball Area High School. He enlisted in the US Army in 2008. He was stationed out of Ft. Wainwright, AK and served two tours, one in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. Chris was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in 2012. He worked as an owner operator with Birch Hill Hauling LLC. Chris enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding motorcycle, playing pool and racing. He also enjoyed attending and competing in demolition derbies. He was a gear head that loved to work on cars. He loved to be with family and friends, especially with his children.

He is survived by his daughter, Airen Gutknecht; son, Tucker Gutknecht; mother, Roxanne Gutknecht of Clearwater; spouse, Bridget Gutknecht of Staples; sisters and brother, Amanda (Ben) Scadden of Maple Lake, Ashley (Mitchell) Donahue of Litchfield and Justin Jacobs (Emily Navratil) of Silver Lake; nieces and nephews, Lyla and Owen Scadden, Mikila Rech, Valarie and Brantlee Donahue; grandparents, Harold and Ardis Schreiner of Watkins; and many aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Gutknecht; grandparents, Marvin and MaryJane Gutknecht; and aunt, Nancy Gutknecht Schreiner.

Airen Gutknecht, Amanda Scadden, Ashley Donahue and Justin Jacobs will serve as urn bearers. Mary Messina will serve as the Life Tribute Celebrant. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Annandale.
