Bruce J. Dalton, age 71, of Eden Prairie, formerly of St. Cloud, died Saturday, October 23, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.
Private services will be held at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, near Camp Ripley.
Bruce Joseph Dalton was born on June 9, 1950 in Thief River Falls, Minnesota to Donald and Adelyn (Causin) Dalton. As a young boy, Bruce moved with his family to the Kimball Area. He attended school in Kimball, graduating with the Class of 1968. Upon his graduation, Bruce enlisted in the United States Air Force. He proudly and honorably served his country, retiring after 20 years of service. Bruce served during the Vietnam War and was stationed all over the United States, with Alaska being his favorite. After his years of service to his country, Bruce drove truck until an injury no longer allowed him to work in that capacity. Bruce always enjoyed traveling and in his later years he took a special interested in bowling and watching wrestling.
Bruce is survived by his brother, Larry (Isabel) of Eden Prairie; step-father, Ben Lutgen of Kimball; nieces and nephews and their families, Shannon and Andy Hagman and their daughter, Lexi Dalton, Melissa Dalton-Stanley and Robert Stanley and their children, Emma Dalton and Landen Stanley, Sean and Kelly Dalton, Robbie Dalton, and Martin Roque; and his extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Dalton and Adelyn (Dalton) Lutgen; siblings, Patrick, Daniel, Michael, and Kelly.
