Betty Ann Haeny, age 77, of St. Cloud, formerly of Maple Lake, died Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Park View Care Center in Buffalo.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, and from 9-10 a.m on Thursday, November 19, both at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 19, 2020 at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Fr. John Meyer as Celebrant. Committal will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 21 at St. Timothy Catholic Cemetery. Face covering, distancing and capacity guidelines will be observed at all events. The Funeral and Committal services will be live-streamed on the funeral home's website.
Betty Ann Haeny was born May 24, 1943 in Elgin, Illinois to Leonard and Mildred (Sturm) Dick. Betty grew up in Madelia, Minnesota and graduated in 1961 from Madelia High School. On October 12, 1963, she was united in marriage to Robert Haeny at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Madelia. They made their home in Maple Lake where they raised their two children, Dave and Angie, and Betty provided a loving home for her family. Betty worked for Carlson Dolls in Maple Lake, Fargo Manufacturing in Buffalo, and Rivers of Hope in Monticello. Most recently, she worked as an administrative assistant at St. Benedict's Senior Community in St. Cloud. Betty and Bob were members of St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake and St. Augustine Catholic Church in St. Cloud when they moved to Sauk Rapids. In her spare time, Betty enjoyed camping, playing cards with friends and spending winters in Arizona. Her greatest enjoyment in life came from spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bob of St. Cloud; children and their spouses, Dave and Sandy of Minnetonka, and Angie and Paul Manuel of Annandale; 4 grandchildren, Marissa and Nicolas Haeny, Laura (Patrick) Buchwald, and Nathan Manuel; siblings, Joan Drejewski of Danville, Illinois and Duane (Pat) Dick of Madelia; and nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Mildred Dick; grandson, Cory Haeny; and brother, Roger Dick.
