Betty L. Finneman, age 83, of Annandale, died Sunday, July 14, 2019 at the Hilltop Care Center, Watkins, MN.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. Dave Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, French Lake. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and 1 hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday at the church.
Betty Louise Finneman was born January 25, 1936 in French Lake Township, Minnesota to Lawrence and Hazel (Snabb) Strom. At the age of 10, Betty moved with her family to Minneapolis. Betty was united in marriage to Russell A. Finneman on September 4, 1954 in Eden Valley, Minnesota. Russell preceded her in death on April 20, 2015. Betty devoted 30 years of employment to Honeywell until her retirement in 1992. Since 1971, Betty has made the Annandale area her home. For the past 15 months she has been a resident of the Hilltop Care Center in Watkins. Betty was a life member of Disabled American Veterans and the Maple Lake VFW Auxiliary Post #7664. She loved her family, and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, camping, fishing, gardening, and traveling south in the winter months.
Betty is survived by her son, Jerry (Pam) of Annandale; siblings, Butch (Jackie) Johnson of Princeton and Cathy Dooley of Zimmerman; 4 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Ruth Ann; son, Gary; brother, Kenneth; and stepfather, Richard Dooley.
Pallbearers will be Lonny Bach, Josh Rosten, Joe, Nathan and Nick Finneman, and John Wuollet. Music for the service will be provided by Orma Lou Jacobsma. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
