Barbara J. Tasa, age 91, of Buffalo, formerly of South Haven, died May 2, 2020 at Park View Care Center in Buffalo.
Private Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale with Rev. David Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Barb's services will be webcast for extended family members and friends. Barbara Jean Tasa was born in Bertha, Minnesota to Eben and M. Elizabeth (Thayer) Ohslund on December 31, 1928. She grew up in Clarissa and graduated from Clarissa High School. Barb was united in marriage to Curtis Tasa on November 8, 1947 in Clarissa. They made Minneapolis and Richfield their home, where they raised their family. Barbara worked at Fairview Hospital for 34 years as a lab clerk. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Annandale. Barb and Curt were active with the 99th Infantry Battalion (Separate) reunions. She enjoyed reading, traveling and completing crossword puzzles. She loved spending time at their cabin on Lake Union where they lived year round in retirement.
Barbara is survived by her children, James (Debrah) Tasa of Zimmerman, Rebecca Williamette of Burnsville and Robert (Mary) Tasa of South Haven; six grandchildren, Heather, Jason, Justin, Stacy, Michael and Jeremy; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eben and Elizabeth Ohslund; husband, Curtis Tasa; and son-in-law, Roger Williamette.
