Alex "Pal" Vogt-Wurm, age 16, of Maple Lake, died unexpectedly on Sunday, November 8, 2020 as a result of a dirt bike accident.
A private family gathering will be held.
Alex Nichols Vogt-Wurm was born May 22, 2004 to Daniel Wurm and Nichol Vogt in Buffalo, Minnesota. Alex made his home with his family outside of Maple Lake. He attended Maple Lake Elementary and was currently a junior at Maple Lake High School where he had many friends. He was a member of the Trap Shooting Team and Ski Club at MLHS. Pal rode dirt bike, racing with District 23 American Motorcycle Association and on all the back country roads. When not on his bike, he could be heard listening to music in his truck while cruising to hang out with his buddies. He worked with his brother, Tyler, at Aurentz Project Restoration and with his dad, Dan, and brother, Coby, at Wurm Hauling. He was a hard worker and never hesitated to offer a helping hand. As a motorhead, Pal could often be found fixing or tinkering on a motor in the shed. Alex loved hunting, fishing, boating, and anything in the great outdoors. He was well known in the community for his likable personality, infectious smile and left a memorable mark on those that knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed.
Alex is survived by his parents, Dan and Nicky of Maple Lake; siblings, Taylor, Tyler and Coby, all of Maple Lake; nephew, Weston; girlfriend, Sophia Pribyl; grandparents, Ken and Betty Wurm of Maple Lake, Jeanine and Bill Sandberg of Buffalo, Les and Sandy Vogt of Sarona, WI; great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members and many, many dear friends and classmates. Alex was preceded in death by his uncle, Paul Stevenson.
