Adelaide C. Bullock, age 91, of Edina, died on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Edenbrook of Edina.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 24, 2022 at St. Richard's Catholic Church in Richfield with visitation one hour prior. Fr. Jim Liekhus will be the celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Timothy Catholic Cemetery in Maple Lake.
Adelaide Catherine Bullock was born March 25, 1930 in Maple Lake, Minnesota to Loren and Anne (Raiche) Bullock. She grew up in Maple Lake, graduating from Maple Lake High School with the Class of 1948. She continued her education at the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul and earned her degree in elementary education from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud. She worked as an elementary teacher in Marshall, Willmar and for most of her career in St. Louis Park. For the past 50 years, she has lived in Edina with her sister, Betty. She was a member of St. Richard's Catholic Church in Richfield. In her younger years, she took singing lessons at MacPhail Center for Music; Addie had a beautiful mezzo-soprano voice. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and going to operas, plays and other theater. She had a love for her faith and will be remembered for her kind and generous heart.
She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Bullock of Edina; sister-in-law, Gertrude Bullock of Buffalo; and six nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Loren and Anne Bullock; brothers, Clifford Bullock, Bishop William Bullock, and Leonard Bullock; sister, Mary Anne Geary; brother-in-law, George Geary; sister-in-law, Shirley Bullock; and nephew, John Geary.
