William J. Lauer, age 49, of Annandale died Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at North Memorial Medical Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2007 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with Fr. Victor Valencia officiating. Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services, Monday at the church.
William James Lauer was born November 14, 1957 to Arnold and Bernadette (Meyer) Lauer. He grew up in Howard Lake and graduated from St. Thomas University with a masters degree in education. Bill married Deborah Jacobson on August 18, 1979 at St. Mary`s Catholic Church in Wavery. He has been a 6th grade teacher at Monticello Middle School for the past 27 years. Bill loved the outdoors, especially fishing, duck, pheasant and deer hunting. He truly enjoyed the good times he had with family and friends.
Bill is survived by his wife, Deb; daughters, Anna of Minneapolis and Katherine of Brooklyn, NY; parents, Bernadette of Buffalo and Arnold (Suzie) of Deer River; sisters and brothers, Deb (Jim) Lauer-Hunt of Mahtomedi, Doug (Carol) and Mark (Mary), both of St. Paul, Joan (Tim) Golden of Milwaukee, WI and Christopher (Anissa) of Thief River Falls.
Mike Schmidt will be the urn bearer for the service. Gary Revenig and Denny Rasset will be the honorary urn bearers. Arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.
