Obituary

William J. Adolph, age 98, of Kimball died Friday, April 9, 2004 at Hilltop Care Center, Watkins where he has been a resident the past year.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at St. Anne`s Catholic Church, Kimball with Fr. David Grundman officiating. Burial will follow in Kimball Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball. There will be a prayer service 6 p.m. Tuesday.

William Jacob Adolph was born June 11, 1905 at Kimball to John and Elizabeth (Kooper) Adolph. He married Irene Becker on June 26, 1923 in Watkins and she preceded him in death on December 24, 1996. For many years he farmed in Maine Prairie Township, Stearns County and from 1963 until his retirement in 1979 was a custodian at Alamosa College, Alamosa, CO. He was a member of St. Anne`s Church and enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by children & their spouses, Marvin & Dorothy Adolph of South Haven, Darlene & Marlyn Jacobson of Grand Junction, CO, Corrine & John Colton of Hereford, AZ; daughters in law, Mildred Adolph of Paynesville, Virginia Adolph of Moesca, CO; sister, Theresa Cossairt of Kimball; 15 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and 15 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; sons, Donald, Kenneth, & William; sisters, Emma Olson, Amelia Blair, & Cecelia Adolph; brother, Sonny; and 6 grandchildren.

The pallbearers will be Alicia, Amanda, & Justin Adolph, Josh Bollmann, Jacob & Jeremy Reitmeier. Music will be provided by St. Anne`s Choir with Frosty Schiefelbein, organist.
