Wendy K. Parent, age 60, of Kimball, died Thursday, March 11, 2021 at her home. Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale with Mary Messina as the Life Tribute Celebrant. The service will be livestreamed on the funeral home website. Wendy Kay Parent was born October 25, 1960 in St. Cloud, Minnesota. She grew up in Zimmerman and graduated from Elk River High School in 1979. She married her high school sweetheart, Ricky J. Parent on December 22, 1979 in Elk River. They made their home in Big Lake, prior to moving to Annandale, St. Cloud, Lisbon, ND, and in February of 2021, they moved to Kimball. Wendy enjoyed reading and crafts, including painting, sewing and coloring. She loved the time she spent with family. She is survived by her husband, Ricky Parent; daughters, Saria (Jake) Hopkins of Sartell and Maria Parent of Lisbon, ND; grandchildren, Ricky Zierer-Parent, Jacob Johnson, Jonathan Johnson and Abygail Hopkins; and brothers, Bill (Karen) Schmiege and Jeffrey Schmiege. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Schmiege; step-father, Elton Schmiege; and grandson, Curtis Hopkins.
