Warren E. Starry, age 79, of Maple Lake died Tuesday, September 6, 2011.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 12, 2011 at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Fr. Michael Izen as the Celebrant.  Burial will be in St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Chatham Township.  Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday, both at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake.  Parish prayers will be 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel.

Warren Edward Starry was born July 30, 1932 at his home in Maple Lake to Edward and Ruth (Bailey) Starry.  He graduated with the class of 1950 from Maple Lake High School.  Warren went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  On June 25, 1955, he was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Scanlon at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake.  Warren worked on the assembly line at Ford Motor Company in St. Paul for 28 years.  He was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church.  Warren enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and horses.  He had a love for baseball, playing for the Maple Lake Laker baseball team for seven years.  Warren was a quiet, gentle and loving man.  Most of all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

He is survived by his children and their spouses Doug & Judy of Maple Lake, Pam & Tim Pribyl of Maple Lake, Alan & Pam of Becker and Vicki & Gary Woods of Kimball; twelve grandchildren, Scott, Kayla, Aaron, Andrew and Adam Starry, Rob Pribyl, Staci and Kyle Wurm, Tanya Manthie, Chris and Kelsi Woods and Alicia Christenson; eleven great grandchildren; sisters Shirley Heberling of Annandale and Carol Thompson of Florida; and special friend, Mary Scheiber of Maple Lake.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Ruth and his wife, Shirley.

The urn bearer will be Doug Starry.  Krista Elsenpeter Tarbox and Sarah Geolz will provide the music for the service.  Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Maple Lake.
