Walter E. Lueders, age 82, of South Haven died Friday, June 1, 2007 at the Talahi Care Center, St. Cloud.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. with Funeral Services held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2007 at Zion Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. David Fretham officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale.
Walter Ewald Lueders was born August 15, 1924 at South Haven to Herman and Athina (Albers) Lueders. He was a truck driver and then worked for L.C. Block Co., Annandale for 40 years retiring in 1990. He married Florence Matthees Pueringer on October 29, 1966 in Zion Lutheran Church. Walter was a former member of the Clearwater Township Board and Concordia Church Council & Choir. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and had served for many years as the Sexton of Corinna Cemetery. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and bowling.
He is survived by his wife, Florence of South Haven; brother, Henry Lueders of Annandale; sister, Lillie Blumke of South Haven; also several nieces and nephews. An infant sister and brother, Ervin preceded him in death.
The pallbearers will be David, Dennis & Bob Blumke, Lenny Lueders, Mike Michalski, Brad Lantto, and Corky Powers. The organist will be Kathy Queck and the arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care.
