Walter A. Jung, age 66, of Annandale, Minnesota died Monday, December 5, 2016 at his residence.

A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 p.m., Monday, December 12, 2016 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Walter Alan Jung was born January 21, 1950 in north Minneapolis to Walter F. and Carolyn (Peterson) Jung.  He was a 1968 graduate of Patrick Henry High School, Minneapolis.  On July 8, 1972 he was united in marriage to Sally Christine Horne at St. Augustine's Church, Ipswich, England. Walt honorably served his country for 20 years in the United States Air Force. During his time in the Air Force, Walt served at RAF Bentwaters in England, Kincheloe Air Force Base in Michigan, Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota, RAF Upper Heyford in England, Altus Air Force Base in Oklahoma and Dyess Air Force Base in Texas. After retiring from the Air Force in 1989, Walter and Sally moved to Annandale, Minnesota. Walt worked for 20 years at Foam Fabricators, retiring in 2009. He enjoyed gardening, art, traveling, cooking, barbecuing, watching the Minnesota Vikings, listening to the Beatles and spending time with family.

Walter is survived by his wife, Sally of Annandale; daughter, Stella Jung and significant other, Steve Theis of St. Cloud; son, Peter of Annandale; siblings, Carol (Scott) Picken of Annandale, Gary of Brooklyn Park, and Sandy (Dave) Petersen of Coon Rapids; grandchildren, Paul Jung and A.J. and Michael Schloner. Walter was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Judy Jung.
