Mr. Wallace H. 'Wally' Steinleitner, age 74, of 3329 10th St SW, Waverly died Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2005 at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Maple Lake with Rev. Dr. Jeffrey B. Palmer officiating. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Maple Lake. There will be a prayer service 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Wallace Henry 'Wally' Steinleitner was born April 30, 1931 in Pierre, SD to William J. and Blanche (Russell) Steinleitner. He served his Country in the U.S. Air Force from 1949-1953 and from 1958-1962 in the Naval Air Reserve. He married Lorayne M. Bibeau June 25, 1955 in Minneapolis. Wally worked for Minnegasco as a gas leak inspector for 42 years retiring in 1993. He lived in Marysville Township, Wright County for 40 years. He loved his family, carpentry, and working on cars.
He is survived by his wife, Lorayne of Waverly; sons, Steven (Nancy) of Annandale and Scott of Waverly; daughters, Suzan (Gordon) Lyrek of Watkins and Sandra Jessen of Waverly; brothers, William of Torrance, CA and John (Janis) of Placentia, CA; grandchildren, David (Carrie) Lyrek, Lisa (Jeramy) Bizzell, Amy Steinleitner, Brian (Heidi) Lyrek, Beth Steinleitner, and Lynn Lyrek; great grandchildren, Amaya, Danielle, Tyler, Carter, Sam, and Bryce. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Mavis Skowronski and Mary Petersen.
Pallbearers will be David and Brian Lyrek, Troy Barthel, Chris Demars, Tim Matter, and Bill Theisen. Honorary Pallbearers will be Amy and Beth Steinleitner, Lisa Bizzell and Lynn Lyrek. Music for the funeral provided by Myrna Jude and Rev. Chad Gilbertson.
