Mrs. Virginia G. `Finn` Rima, age 87, of Maple Lake died Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at Park View Care Center, Buffalo.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 19, 2004 at St. Timothy`s Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Father Mark Huberty officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake.
Virginia Grace `Finn` Rima was born July 18, 1916 in Adrian to George C. and Anna (Krier) James. She married Ray Rima April 20, 1935 in Worthington and he preceded her in death March 3, 1989. She owned and operated several restaurants in the Worthington area for 28 years and retired when she was 62 years old. Finn lived in El Cajon, CA for three years, and Worthington for 62 years before moving to Maple Lake in 1981. She was a member of St. Timothy`s Catholic Church, Maple Lake, VFW Auxiliary, Maple Lake Senior Citizens Club, and the Nutrition Board. Virginia was an avid bingo and poker player.
Virginia is survived by a son and daughter, Jim (Susie) of Redwood Falls, and Patty (Jon) Latuska of Fernley, NV; grandchildren, Brett & Vickie Rima, and Kyle Latuska; great grandchildren, Erick, Wendy, and Aaron Rima. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Robert James; sister, Verna Mae McConnell; and daughter in law, Gloria Rima.
Pallbearers will be Scott & Kevin Elfstrand, Jerry & Brian James, Jake Lindquist, Erick & Brett Rima. Music for the funeral provided by St. Timothy`s Resurrection Choir and Marge Pavlik, organist.
